ancient astronaut
Alien visitor theory
Ancient astronaut refers to the pseudoscientific theory that extraterrestrial beings visited Earth in prehistoric times and influenced early human civilizations.
Proponents claim ancient monuments, religious texts, and archaeological mysteries are evidence of alien contact: Ancient astronaut theorists believe the pyramids couldn't have been built without extraterrestrial help.
The concept is popular in fringe documentaries and science fiction but rejected by mainstream archaeology and history.
