alternate tunings
Non-standard guitar setups
Alternate tunings are guitar string configurations other than standard tuning.
Guitarists retune strings to create different chord voicings, access new harmonic possibilities, or simplify fingerings for particular songs.
Common examples include drop D (lowering the sixth string), open G, and DADGAD.
