alligator wrestling
Swamp creature combat
Alligator wrestling is a spectacle in which a person physically grapples with a live alligator, typically forcing its jaws shut or flipping it onto its back.
Originating with the Seminole and Miccosukee peoples of Florida, it became a tourist attraction at roadside parks and wildlife shows.
The practice requires pinning the animal and controlling its powerful tail and jaws: He spent twenty years alligator wrestling before his knees gave out.
