all the same
Despite all that
All the same signals that something remains true despite what preceded it—a concession followed by persistence: I know you meant well, but it upset me all the same.
The phrase can also mean equivalent or interchangeable: Whether we go today or tomorrow, it's all the same to me.
In that sense, it's all the same often expresses indifference.
