alike

Hard to distinguish

Alike means similar or in the same way.

Two things that look alike resemble each other: The twins dress alike.

It often follows a pair: young and old alike, critics and fans alike—meaning both groups equally.

As an adjective, alike is predicative only: you can say they are alike but not "alike people."
