all-over
Covering every surface
All-over describes something covering an entire surface uniformly: an all-over pattern, an all-over tan.
The hyphen distinguishes the adjective from the adverb phrase: The design is printed all over the fabric versus an all-over print.
Also used for sensations affecting the whole body: an all-over ache.
