advisory panel
Consulting group body
An advisory panel is a group assembled to provide expert guidance or recommendations on a specific issue, usually to an organization or government body.
Unlike decision-making bodies, advisory panels offer counsel without binding authority—their conclusions inform but don't compel action: The advisory panel recommended against approving the drug.
Also called an advisory board or advisory committee.
