accidental call
Unintended phone connection
An accidental call is a phone call made unintentionally, typically when a device in a pocket or bag registers touches as input.
Also called a pocket dial or butt dial.
The caller often remains unaware while the recipient hears muffled sounds or fragments of conversation: I got an accidental call from my mom and heard her talking to the dog for ten minutes.
