follow-up call
Checking in again
A follow-up call is a phone call made after an initial contact or event to check on progress, reinforce a message, or continue a conversation.
Sales representatives make follow-up calls to potential customers, doctors' offices call to check on patients, and job seekers call after interviews: I'll give them a follow-up call next week if I haven't heard back.
