academic staff
University teaching body
Academic staff are the employees of a university or college who teach and conduct research—professors, lecturers, and researchers, as distinct from administrative or support personnel.
The term is more common in British than American English, where faculty often serves the same purpose: The academic staff voted to approve the new curriculum.
