World Exposition
International nations' fair
A World Exposition, also called a world's fair, is a large international exhibition showcasing technological, cultural, and industrial achievements from nations around the globe.
These events, held every few years in rotating host cities, feature elaborate national pavilions and often introduce iconic structures: The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 Paris Exposition.
The terms expo and world expo are common shortened forms.
