visitor map
Tourist orientation sheet
A visitor map is a simplified diagram designed to help people navigate an unfamiliar place—a zoo, museum, theme park, or campus.
Unlike detailed cartographic maps, visitor maps emphasize landmarks, pathways, and points of interest while distorting scale and omitting irrelevant features: Grab a visitor map at the entrance.
The term also applies to website analytics tools that display where users are geographically located.
