Uvalde
South Texas town
Uvalde is a city in southwest Texas, known primarily as the site of a 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in which nineteen children and two teachers were killed.
The name has become shorthand in American discourse for debates over gun control, school safety, and police response failures: another Uvalde waiting to happen, the lessons of Uvalde.
