U-turns

One-eighty driving moves

U-turns are driving maneuvers where a vehicle turns 180 degrees to head in the opposite direction.

Signs often prohibit them at busy intersections.

The term extends to any abrupt reversal: Critics accused the prime minister of doing U-turns on key policies.
