Shakespeare's Globe
Bard's original theater
Shakespeare's Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre in London, where many of Shakespeare's plays were originally performed.
The modern theater, which opened in 1997 near the site of the 1599 original, stages productions in the open-air Elizabethan style: We saw Hamlet at Shakespeare's Globe last summer.
