Sega CD
Sonic CD platform
Sega CD was a video game console add-on released in 1991 that attached to the Sega Genesis, enabling CD-ROM games with enhanced audio and full-motion video.
Despite technical improvements over cartridge-based games, its library was criticized for relying heavily on grainy video clips rather than gameplay innovation.
