PlayStation third generation
PS3 is the PlayStation 3, Sony's third-generation home video game console, released in 2006.
It competed with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii in what gamers call the seventh console generation.
The PS3 introduced Blu-ray disc support and online gaming through PlayStation Network.
I still have my old PS3 hooked up for nostalgia.
