Scottish border
Hadrian's Wall region
The Scottish border is the boundary between Scotland and England, running roughly 96 miles from the Solway Firth in the west to the River Tweed in the east.
The region along this line is called the Borders or the Scottish Borders: They crossed the Scottish border near Gretna Green.
Historically contested territory, it now marks the line between two distinct legal and educational systems within the United Kingdom.
