Rick Rubin
Rick Rubin is an American music producer known for stripped-down, artist-focused recording methods.
He cofounded Def Jam Records and has shaped albums across genres—hip-hop, rock, country, metal—for artists including Beastie Boys, Johnny Cash, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
His name evokes a philosophy of removing excess to reveal essential sound: They brought in Rick Rubin to rescue the album.
