Audio language course
Pimsleur is a language-learning method based on spaced repetition and audio instruction, developed by linguist Paul Pimsleur.
The system emphasizes listening and speaking over reading, with lessons prompting learners to recall and produce phrases at timed intervals.
I learned basic Japanese through Pimsleur before my trip.
The name now refers to the commercial product line as much as the methodology.
