Seasonal dance performance
The Nutcracker Suite is a selection of movements from Tchaikovsky's 1892 ballet *The Nutcracker*, arranged for concert performance.
The suite includes familiar pieces like "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" and "Waltz of the Flowers." The full ballet, set during Christmas Eve, has become a holiday tradition in Western countries: Every December, local dance companies perform The Nutcracker.
