Neapolitan style
Tricolor frozen dessert
Neapolitan style describes something made in the manner of Naples, Italy.
Most often it refers to pizza: a Neapolitan pizza has a soft, charred crust with a puffy rim, made from simple dough cooked at extremely high heat in a wood-fired oven.
The term extends to other Neapolitan traditions—Neapolitan ice cream layers chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry; Neapolitan songs are sentimental ballads in the Neapolitan dialect.
