Main Line
Wealthy Philly corridor
The Main Line is a string of affluent suburbs west of Philadelphia along the former Pennsylvania Railroad's main line.
The name evokes old money, prestigious colleges, and upper-class WASP culture: She grew up on the Main Line and went to Bryn Mawr.
The term sometimes extends to similar wealthy suburban corridors elsewhere. (Lowercase main line refers to railways or drug injection.)
