Lucy Ricardo

Lucy Ricardo is the fictional protagonist of the 1950s American sitcom *I Love Lucy*, played by Lucille Ball.

The character is a zany, ambitious housewife whose elaborate schemes to break into show business or outwit her husband Ricky invariably backfire in spectacular fashion.

Lucy Ricardo became an archetype for the comedic female lead—well-meaning but disaster-prone, physically expressive, and perpetually scheming: She pulled a real Lucy Ricardo trying to sneak into the party.
