Lady Chatterley
Lady Chatterley is the protagonist of D.H.
Lawrence's novel *Lady Chatterley's Lover* (1928), whose explicit affair with her gamekeeper made the book notorious.
The name evokes censorship battles and sexual frankness in literature: They acted like it was Lady Chatterley's Lover, not a romance novel.
A "Lady Chatterley" sometimes refers to a woman who takes a lover from a lower social class.
