Komodo dragons
Indonesia's largest reptiles
Komodo dragons are the largest living lizards, native to a few Indonesian islands including Komodo.
These monitor lizards can exceed three meters in length and weigh over seventy kilograms.
They hunt deer, pigs, and water buffalo, using powerful jaws and bacteria-laden saliva that causes prey to weaken from infection.
We saw Komodo dragons at the zoo.
