John Waters
John Waters is an American filmmaker known for transgressive comedies that celebrate bad taste, freaks, and outsider culture.
His early low-budget work, especially *Pink Flamingos* (1972), earned him the title "Pope of Trash." Waters later achieved mainstream success with *Hairspray* (1988).
His distinctive pencil-thin mustache has become iconic.
Beyond film, he works as a writer, actor, and visual artist, maintaining a cult following for his gleefully subversive sensibility.
