Happy Meal toys
Fast-food figurines
Happy Meal toys are the small playthings included with McDonald's children's meals, typically tie-ins to current movies, TV shows, or branded characters.
They're designed to drive sales by appealing to kids, and collecting complete sets became a minor cultural phenomenon: We went back three times because she wanted all the Happy Meal toys.
The toys often end up forgotten in drawers or donated in bulk.
