HD monitor

High-definition screen

An HD monitor is a display screen with high-definition resolution, typically 1280×720 pixels (720p) or 1920×1080 pixels (1080p).

HD monitors became standard for computers and televisions in the 2000s, replacing earlier lower-resolution displays: I upgraded to an HD monitor for sharper text and images.

Higher resolutions like 4K have since surpassed HD, though HD remains common for budget displays.
