Godsmack

Massachusetts rock group

Godsmack is an American rock band formed in Massachusetts in 1995, known for their heavy, grunge-influenced sound and hits like "Voodoo" and "I Stand Alone." The name reportedly comes from the Alice in Chains song "God Smack," though frontman Sully Erna has also attributed it to a karmic incident.

The band achieved mainstream success in the late 1990s and 2000s with multiple platinum albums.
