Gantt charts
Horizontal schedule bars
Gantt charts are bar charts showing project schedules, with tasks listed vertically and time periods horizontally.
Each bar spans from a task's start to its finish date, making it easy to see what should happen when and which tasks overlap.
Named after Henry Gantt, who popularized them in the 1910s: The project manager updated the Gantt chart after the deadline shifted.
