Edinburgh Tattoo
Castle military festival
The Edinburgh Tattoo, formally the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, is an annual military performance held at Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.
Military bands, drill teams, and performers from around the world participate in the event, which features music, marching, and pageantry against the floodlit castle backdrop.
The word tattoo here comes from a Dutch phrase meaning "close the tap"—a signal for soldiers to return to barracks.
We got tickets to the Edinburgh Tattoo during the festival.
