EZ Pass
Electronic toll device
EZ Pass is an electronic toll collection system used on highways and bridges in the eastern United States.
A small transponder mounted on a vehicle's windshield communicates with sensors at toll plazas, automatically deducting tolls from a prepaid account: I breezed through the toll booth with my EZ Pass.
The system eliminates stopping to pay cash.
Also spelled E-ZPass.
