Dacca
Bangladesh capital, archaic
Dacca is a former spelling of Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh.
The older spelling reflects British colonial transliteration and persists in some historical references and proper names: Dacca University, the Dacca muslin trade.
Modern usage strongly favors Dhaka.
