DJ mixer
Audio blending device
A DJ mixer is audio equipment that allows a DJ to blend, transition between, and manipulate multiple sound sources—typically two or more turntables or media players.
The mixer includes faders, crossfaders, and equalizers for adjusting volume, blending tracks, and shaping tone.
Most also include headphone cueing so the DJ can preview the next track before the audience hears it: She adjusted the crossfader on the DJ mixer for a seamless transition.
