Br'er Rabbit
Br'er Rabbit is a trickster figure from African American folktales, popularized in the Uncle Remus stories.
The name is dialect for "Brother Rabbit." Clever and mischievous, he outsmarts stronger animals like Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear through wit rather than force: Br'er Rabbit begged not to be thrown in the briar patch—knowing he'd escape there.
