Bohr
Danish atomic theorist
Bohr refers to Niels Bohr, the Danish physicist who made foundational contributions to understanding atomic structure and quantum mechanics in the early twentieth century.
His name appears in scientific terminology: the Bohr model describes electrons orbiting an atomic nucleus in discrete energy levels, and the bohr (lowercase) is a unit of length used in atomic physics equal to the radius of a hydrogen atom's first orbital.
Element 107, bohrium, honors his legacy.
