Benfica
Lisbon football giants
Benfica is a major Portuguese sports club based in Lisbon, formally Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
Though the club fields teams in multiple sports, the name almost always refers to its football (soccer) team, one of Portugal's "Big Three" alongside Porto and Sporting CP.
Benfica has won dozens of domestic titles and two European Cups: Benfica dominated Portuguese football in the 1960s.
