B-flat major
Brass instruments' home
B-flat major is a musical key based on the note B-flat, with B-flat and E-flat in its key signature.
It's a common key for wind instruments, particularly in band music, since many brass and woodwind instruments are pitched in B-flat: The symphony's slow movement is in B-flat major.
Classical composers often associated it with a warm, noble character.
