African print

Bold patterned textile

African print refers to boldly patterned cotton fabrics featuring geometric designs, symbolic motifs, and vibrant colors associated with African fashion and identity.

Though often called "Ankara" or "African wax print," most originated from Dutch and British manufacturers imitating Indonesian batik for West African markets.

The fabrics are now produced primarily in Africa and used for clothing, headwraps, and home décor: She wore an African print dress to the ceremony.
