100 meter
Track's shortest race
The 100 meter (or 100 meters) is a sprint race covering that distance, the shortest outdoor track event in competitive athletics.
It determines "the fastest person in the world" at the Olympics and other championships.
The distance also serves as a general measure: The trailhead is about 100 meters from the parking lot.
Often written 100m.
