-esque

In-the-manner-of ending

A suffix meaning "in the style of" or "resembling," attached to nouns to form adjectives: Kafkaesque, picturesque, statuesque.

It often attaches to proper names to evoke someone's distinctive manner or aesthetic: Chaplinesque physical comedy, a Hemingwayesque sentence.

The suffix can be applied freely, even playfully, to create one-off formations: The whole evening had a prom-esque vibe.
