wooden stilts
Pole-mounted leg extensions
Wooden stilts are poles with footrests that allow a person to walk elevated above the ground.
They come in two main forms: handheld poles that the walker grips while stepping on attached platforms, or peg stilts that strap directly to the legs.
Children use them as toys for play and balance practice; performers use them for height in parades and circus acts.
She learned to walk on wooden stilts at summer camp.
