Fruit-flavored gummy candy
Wine gums are chewy British confections similar to gum drops, firm and dense with fruit flavors.
Despite the name, they contain no wine and never did—the term evokes the sophistication of wine varieties rather than actual ingredients.
They're meant to be savored slowly rather than chewed quickly: I always save the black wine gums for last.
