windproof lighter
Storm-safe fire starter
A windproof lighter is designed to stay lit in windy conditions.
Most use a pressurized fuel jet that produces a flame resistant to being blown out, unlike standard lighters.
Zippo-style lighters with their enclosed flame chambers also qualify.
Popular with campers, smokers, and anyone who needs reliable fire outdoors: I finally got a windproof lighter after years of struggling to light cigarettes at the bus stop.
