wild foraging
Picking nature's bounty
Wild foraging is the practice of gathering food from uncultivated natural environments—searching for edible plants, mushrooms, berries, nuts, or shellfish growing in the wild rather than farmed.
The activity ranges from casual berry-picking to serious harvesting that supplements one's diet: She learned wild foraging from her grandmother.
Also called simply foraging.
