wedding Mass
Matrimonial Catholic service
A wedding Mass is a Catholic liturgical service that combines the sacrament of matrimony with the celebration of the Eucharist.
The couple exchanges vows and rings during Mass, and the congregation receives communion.
It's the traditional form for weddings between two Catholics: They're having a full wedding Mass at St. Patrick's.
When one partner isn't Catholic, a shorter ceremony without Mass is often used instead.
