way in

Door or gate

A way in is an entrance or means of access.

The phrase works literally for physical spaces—We found a way in through the basement—and figuratively for opportunities or openings: His cousin gave him a way in at the company.

In British usage, "way in" often appears on signs where Americans would see "entrance."
