wax lips
Edible costume accessory
Wax lips are a novelty candy shaped like oversized red lips, meant to be held in the mouth for comic effect rather than eaten.
Made of paraffin wax with a slightly sweet flavor, they're associated with Halloween and old-fashioned candy shops.
The wax is technically chewable but unpleasant: Kids would wear the wax lips for five minutes then spit them out.
