water change
Tank fluid swap
A water change is the partial replacement of water in an aquarium or fish tank, removing some portion and adding fresh, treated water.
Regular water changes remove accumulated waste, nitrates, and toxins that filtration alone cannot eliminate: I do a 25% water change every week.
The practice is fundamental to fishkeeping and maintaining healthy aquatic environments.
